Introduction

Sri Jayaprakash is a much sought-after teacher of The Art of Living. He is a DSN, Volunteer Training - Pre TTC, Part 1 and Prison Smart Trainer. He works relentlessly for a stress-free, violence-free society and has united thousands of people through the courses of The Art of Living.

Early Life

JP, as he is fondly called, was born into the renowned Palakkal Tharavad in Thiruvalathur, a picturesque village and abode of the Randumurthi Devi Temple situated on the banks of the river Sokanashini.

He completed his Primary Education from the Thiruvalathur Lower Primary School and Secondary Education from the PMG Higher Secondary School, Palakkad. He began his University Education from the Government Victoria College, and completed his graduation in Botany from the Government College, Chittur.

He has three post graduate degrees - one in Marketing & Finance, the second in Human Resources and the third in Applied Psychology.

As an employee of Glaxo India Ltd he has worked at various locations in India.

Into The Art of Living

The Initiation

In May 2002, JP was initiated into The Art of Living, when he did the Part 1 Course conducted by Sree Sajee Yousuf Nissan. This was the turning point in his life.

In the year 2003, he did The Advanced Meditation Course at Munnar.

In 2004, he did the Divya Samaj Nirman (DSN) Course conducted by Vinodji at Kannur

The Ascent

Soon after, JP became a Nav Chetna Shivir Teacher.

In November 2004, he did the Teachers' Training Course (TTC) Phase 1 from The Art of Living International Ashram, Bangalore.

In August 2005, he did Teachers' Training Course (TTC) Phase 2.

On August 15, 2005, Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar bestowed upon him the Manuals of Part 1 and Prison Smart.

In the Field

Thereafter, JP started conducting Prison Smart Courses at various jails in Kerala, and thus became instrumental in transforming several lives.

He has conducted classes for people from various fields and strata of society viz. Media Personnel, Police Officials, Tribals, Doctors, Paramedical Staff, VIPs, Bureaucrats, Technocrats, Business Managers, Politicians, Teachers, Students, and in Police Camps, Forest Department, Giants International group, YMCA, etc.

He also became an Art Excel, Youth Empowerment Seminar (YES) and Youth Leadership Training Program (YLTP) Teacher.

On September 10, 2012, he became a Pre-TTC Teacher.

Guruji blessed him as DSN (Divya Samaj Nirman) teacher on 14th October 2013.

He has organized Higher Courses like Part 2 and DSN for batches of 100+ participants.

He has conducted Part 1 Courses for more than 15,000 people.

Numero Uno

For the last four consecutive years JP has been declared as the Number 1 Teacher of Part 1 Courses in Kerala, who has conducted courses for batches comprising of maximum number of participants.

In 2012, he was recognized as the Number 1 Full Time Part 1 Teacher in India.

Other Activities and Interest

Psychology being one of his favorite subjects, JP derives immense satisfaction in counseling people with personal and inter-personal problems - free of charge.

He is a voracious reader and has a huge collection of books, the concepts and contents of which he uses to drive home subtle and lofty ideas effectively in his classes.

The Pied Piper

JP is one of those few fortunate people who have realized their potential and thoroughly enjoy what they do. He is the most popular teacher of The Art of Living courses in Kerala, and people, especially those from the Palakkad district clamor for his classes. He is a teacher par excellence. He can have the participants of his courses doubled up with laughter and can also draw copious tears from their eyes. He has a soothing and sonorous voice which he modulates with expertise to suit each situation. Most participants absolutely love his classes; in fact he is the Pied Piper to several of his disciples who follow him to other venues to attend his classes. He has a magnetic personality and irresistible charisma. He epitomizes the Art of Living.
